The fourth-generation technology brings new features and new applications for mobile phones.

You almost get the feeling that the new technology that promises to revolutionize mobile communications. The 4th generation of mobile phones will be within reach of consumers in the near future.

The 4G technology will transform mobile phones into true wireless computers. The information will now be even more accessible through a network of open Internet, wireless, exceeding one hundred times the network until the 3rd generation.

It follows that the transfer speeds are much higher content. Users will have more access to more content through better media.

You can also include new features and innovations, constantly updating the equipment, without this need to purchase a new phone.

The investment of large operators already exceeds millions. In the U.S., Verizon is preparing for commercial launch in 2011, since its 4th generation network to be operational later this year. AT & T, the operator responsible for Internet service from acclaimed 3G iPad tablet, will also invest in new telecommunications network.

The U.S. companies launched the Sprint phone Overdrive on the eve of CES 2010, the largest showcase for new electronics. This unit supports the 4G network. When the technological revolution “took place at the fiber and cable, for example the Portuguese TV service MEO came, because it is within the reach of the fixed Internet to transmit high-definition video on an Internet line.”

“In the fourth generation, the revolution that took place in the fixed network will happen in the mobile network. It is perfectly feasible for us to have a fully mobile television operator and a new competition The European Union is implementing since the beginning of January, 18 million in additional research on 4G mobile networks, capable of enabling mobile internet speeds up to one hundred times the 3G networks, or about one gigabit (one thousand megabits) per second.

What Is Social Networking & How Does It Work?

Social networking online is fast becoming the biggest single way we as humans communicate in the world today. Its popularity over the last few years has grown to amazing levels. So what is it and how does it work? It involves joining a social website sometimes around a theme or topic that you are interested in or it could be just a general social platform such as a Facebook or MySpace. You put up your picture and basic information and can start connecting with people from around the world.

There is also another common phrase online called social bookmarking which often gets confused with social networking but are 2 different things. Social bookmarking is basically finding your favorite website and saving or tagging it and referring it to your friends. It’s a great way of finding quality information on a particular topic and sharing it with friends, relatives or business colleagues. If a website with a particular article or story has been bookmarked several times it’s a sure sign it is popular and maybe worth passing along.

Social networking’s popularity has sky rocked in the last few years due to 2 major websites. They are Facebook and Twitter. More often than not most people these days you will find have an account with both of these social sites. Facebook in particular has gained worldwide acceptance due to its ability to expand the communication circles for people. You can sign up for free, put up photos, write what you are doing with your life and basically keep people informed. You can share your favorite links, articles, videos and pretty much anything with all your friends. You choose who you want to be friends with and with whom can see all your personal information.

The major benefit of social networking sites I believe is the ability to interact with others who share your passion. For example if you like golf, you can join for free a number of different forums, blogs or groups online. You can then make friends, communicate and share your stories with people who understand your passion. If you have a problem with your golf swing for example, you can ask questions, post a video and ask for help.

From a business perspective social networking has taken on a whole new level of doing business in the 21st century. You can now set up a website / business online and find new customers via these social websites and market products to them. In fact some major companies are doing the majority of their business through networking done through social media. A common way of increasing business is to offer free information via a website and collect people’s email addresses. This is called list building and is a great way of increasing business contacts and developing relationships with.

Most social networking sites are free to join and are a great way to expand your own social network. They usually only require a name and email address and you are right to go.

WOW! Hands Free In Mobile And Care Free In Attitude

If ever there was a revolution happening in recent times, it is in the field of communication, thanks to the technology support. I remember times when I had to visit the post office, book a call, and wait for a long time to speak to my office in the early seventies. During the call, at every three minute interval, there would be a voice telling me “three minutes” sir. Then I had to say “continue” or the call would be cut off. Time has changed all that. With updates and new versions coming every few months (or sooner) the communications field is on the fast track.

The latest “in thing” is Bluetooth. Have you ever wondered why a well dressed man is suddenly holding his ear in the middle of the pavement, and why he squeezes a small black device in his ear? Don’t think he has gone deaf in one ear. He is taking a call on his mobile phone. No that black device is not the mobile phone; we have yet to reach that stage. He is switching on his Bluetooth device to take the call hands-free.

With mobile phones equipped with this facility, one can take the call hands-free by activating the application and the black device in the ear is receiving signals of course through wireless technology from the mobile phone-the so called Wi-Fi. If you are a doctor travelling in a car the device is really helpful to speak to the hospital or a patient in distress, where both hands can be used to negotiate a curve or to overtake a slow vehicle in front of you.

What puzzles me is the way the device is used by youngsters. Equipped with the device, moving around in busy roads without concern for safety of others, let alone their own. It is a common sight to see cars screeching to a halt to avoid hitting a careless youth crossing the road with his eyes fixed afar and not knowing what is happening in the near vicinity. And if you are a driver, be careful … Bluetooth is here to stay.
